I haven't been following Christian music very closely in the past few years, but I checked this out and really liked the clips. So, I bought it. Thanks for the recommendation.

I've heard a lot of my green thumb friends talk about it and seen discussion of it on blogs/message boards around the web. My mother-in-law is currently trying it too in their backyard.

I've never read about square foot gardening. I'll have to look into that. We've got lots of veggies in our other beds, so for this year, the raised bed may be mostly flowers. We'll see. I haven't put my new tomato plants (from the farmers market) in the ground yet, so I am debating adding those to the raised bed instead of the ground plots. Where did you read about square foot gardening?

That is such a nice photo of the two of you! I have no advice about gardening...i'm terrible at it. But I really admire all the work that you guys have done on the landscaping of your house. I hope the raised bed works well for you - are you planning to add more vegetables a la "Square Foot Gardening"?

I spent some time this weekend studying the story of the rich young ruler... actually, the story was the follow-up sermon to Crispan's (our Haitian visitor) testimony. After the young man is told by Jesus what he must do to inherit eternal life, he is saddened. We don't know for sure what ever happened to this man, but we do know that he was sad when he learned the sacrifice he was being called to make.

As I worked through it with some friends, I determined that that sadness is a good thing (it's only natural). I think it prompts us to ask God some tough questions... to ensure that we're really on the right track... following his call rather than a production of our imagination.

I'm excited for you guys. I'll continue to pray that you'll find that courage which you seek.

Thank you for that story. My heart broke as well upon hearing that story. It's tough to know what to feel - you can't fix it (the situation), but you can't ignore it either. Anyway, I hope you guys didn't get lost on your walk like we did :P
